Nice chimes but I'm moderately sure a 1950 era Mickey Mouse wristwatch kept higher time. I truly have never viewed a "timepiece" that used to be as unhealthy as that clock at maintaining time. It's often off through 5 - 10 minutes per week. Don't hassle adjusting it, though, because whether or not it is too quick or too gradual depends on the temperature in the house. As a clock, it's $900 of junk.
Reviews for Howard Miller 630-216 Carson Mantel Clock (Kitchen) I love the absolute conviction of this clock. In a global of animated time-pieces, electronic chimes that play eighty three tracks, plastic, resin or particle board development, it can be chicken soup for my soul to own this clock. My grandmother had a clock much like this and the deep, resonant chimes would lull me to sleep. This clock's chimes are full and rich - none of that tinny, canned stuff. Our house has high ceilings and acoustics really make the tolling of the clock that as a substitute more dramatic. I love winding this clock once a week. It's one means or the other enjoyable to use the silver key to organize for some other week.
